South Avenue Womens Services continues the legacy of a physician staffed pregnancy termination organization serving the women of our community that began in 1973. With the legislation of abortion in New York State our director is the longest continuous provider, having joined South Avenue OBGYN group in 1978. Over the years we have established an outstanding record of safety with an exceptionally low rate of complications. South Avenue OB Group pioneered the medical abortion throughout the 90's. We became experts on medical abortion, having provided this service for thousands of patients. We serve all women, regardless of their insurance status, race, religion or socio economic status.
